Liebherr launches new excavator R918

Liebherr-France SAS, the Liebherr factory in Colmar, France, has launched a new crawler excavator model, the Liebherr R918, which according to the company is powerful, agile and ideal for applications such as earthmoving or opening ditches and installation of pipes. The R918 is equipped with a new engine that meets the Stage IV standards, which has a power of 120 kW / 163 HP and incorporates a SCR system of urea injection and an oxidation catalyst. Optionally, a particle filter is also available. In the event of inactivity, the idle operation and the engine stop (optional) are automatic. The X-shaped chassis, reliable and robust, is easy to attach thanks to the integrated rings. There are several running gear and leveling blade combinations available and an additional storage compartment is also available. The operator has a spacious and air-conditioned work space to ensure maximum productivity on site. To maximize comfort, the cabin comes standard with a pneumatic seat with vertical and longitudinal damping and a full-opening front window. As for ergonomics, the workstation of the R918 is also equipped with a user-friendly, high-resolution 7 "color touch screen. The R918 has a completely clear panoramic visibility and rear and side surveillance cameras as standard for greater safety on site. The structure of the cabin is ROPS certified and is resistant to overturning.
