Bobcat launches a completely new generation of compact excavators

Bobcat launches a completely new generation of compact excavators Bobcat aims to revolutionize the market of compact excavators in Europe with the presentation in Intermat 2018 of a totally new generation of 2-4 tonne machines. In this new generation, all the new models already comply with the next European regulation of emission of motors of Phase V; they also introduce new levels of operator comfort, easier control and smoothness of the work group functions, all complemented by innovative features and design features. The first details that have been reported are about the new E26, E27z and E27 of 2-3 tons. The three models offer the best stability in their class and meet the weight limits for easy transport in tow. Great attention has been devoted to operator comfort, as the new machines incorporate many innovative features and offer improvements in quality and robustness. They constitute a new flexible platform with machines of different configurations and with specifications adapted to the needs of each client for a wide variety of applications. Intermat 2018 will host the international presentation of the new compact excavators E26, E27z and E27 of Bobcat. A similar radical transformation takes place in the 3-4 ton range. The new E34 and E35z models have been developed to reinforce the offer of Bobcat products in this category of compact excavators. The company will release more information about the new machines at Intermat. Jaroslav Fiser, product line director of Bobcat mini excavators in EMEA, commented the following: "It is a very exciting moment for all of us who have participated in the development of the new Bobcat products. Our engineers and our product experts have worked closely with our sales staff and certain European distributors to ensure that the new products meet the specific requirements of the most demanding European customers. We are looking forward to unveiling the new machines at the Intermat fair, which will be held in Paris in April 2018. " The performance taken to another level The new generation of the popular E26 excavator weighs almost 100 kg less to be transported and has greater lifting capacity on the side and with a new and robust work group, which incorporates an innovative cylinder inside the boom. The new Bobcat E26 excavator is optimized for the specific needs of the rental sector, while introducing a new level of operator comfort and features required by very demanding owners and operators. The new E27z model further enhances the excellent performance characteristics of the current Bobcat E26. As a machine with a true zero-cabin turn (even with the optional counterweight), the E27z offers greater 360 ° stability and lighter weight for easy transport. With the optional long rocker and cockpit, the E27z offers the digging capability and operator comfort found in much larger excavators. The new E27 model with conventional rotation includes a unique combination in its class of superior stability, excellent digging performance and breakout force together with a transport weight that, however, does not exceed the weight limits of suitable trailers. Even with the optional heavy counterweight, the E27 offers only 280 mm of projection, so the machine can maneuver in tight spaces. Designed with the operator in mind Like all Bobcat compact machines, the new excavators have been designed with the operator in mind to enjoy the highest levels of comfort and functionality. In the new cabin, the greater space for the operator and the luxurious interior offer the maximum comfort and an improved entrance and exit thanks to the new handles and to a wider door. The new cabin has larger windows and narrower pillars so that visibility in all directions is the best on the market. In addition, it is very easy to open the front windshield of the excavators. Inside the cab with low levels of noise and vibrations, the operator benefits from new joysticks that require minimal effort and a new displacement control system with optimized metal pedals. The minimum effort joysticks offer greater ease of control and smoothness of functions. The operator also has a new selectable auxiliary control system for up to five independent auxiliary hydraulic circuits. Excavators can also be equipped with a Deluxe display on the control panel that provides additional information to facilitate troubleshooting and with a new optional selectable auxiliary control system.
